Harman Kardon’s Personal Assistant Speakers Confirmed


Following a leak on the Harman Kardon’s cortana powerd speakers, Microsoft has confirmed its release in an official blog post. Scheduled for sale in the fall of 2017; this device will be only available in the US market. For a long time, this field has been dominated by Amazon and Google—the introduction of the Harman Kardon’s is a clear indication that Microsoft wants in on the field.

According to the blog post, the device will require Windows 10’s (Creators update) Cortana app (phone or pc), Android version 4.1.2 or higher, or iPhone 4 with iOS 8.0 or higher; to activate the speaker. It will work with select music services and home automation providers.

The design

The Cortana powered spInvokeeaker, code named the Invoke, has a cylindrical shape; which seems to be standard shape. It has a light ring on top, and has 360 sound support. Obviously, users will be able to ask Cortana questions and get instant answers.
